I love this shoe and when it completely falls apart I intend to order another pair. This shoe turned me into a lifelong Keen fan and since that initial purchase; I've bought four other Keen shoe styles. Based on my experience, Keen runs a 1/2 size smaller than my foot size. The one and only gripe about these shoes is the rubber toe to leather body seal...it failed within the first week of use. I should have returned the shoes for a replacement, but they were so comfortable I didn't want to be without them. I chose to repair the seal myself with barge cement. Others have posted the same seal failure complaint and I've seen the same issue on my friend's Portsmouth's (which he's owned for 5 years). It only happened on one of my shoes and didn't prevent me from wearing them every working day this past year (+/- 250 days in the construction industry). I did recently replace the insoles with Birkenstock's Birko-sport arch support which has probably added another year's worth of life to these shoes (the soles are still in excellent condition despite daily abuse). This hybrid shoe (anyone reading this should really give the Birkenstock insert a try...) is the most comfortable pair of shoes I own and I look forward to putting them on every morning I go to work.
